Review : Wardah Longlasting Lipstick no 1 Fabulous Peach

Hi guys! Today I have a local product review. It is from the brand Wardah, which many Indonesians must know of.

Halo semuanya! Hari ini aku akan review produk lokal. Ini merupakan brand Wardah, yang orang Indonesia pasti sudah tau.

Ingredients list

Packaging

This is the visual look of the product. The packaging is slim and simple. The colour is also very pretty looking from the bullet. I got this product for about IDR 35.000 because it was on sale. The original price was IDR 45.000 on the website. It was really a good deal.

This shade is a coral pink that has a matte finish. The more I look at the colour, the more I like this colour.

One thing though, I've read a few reviews about this product and some of them said that the lipstick broke on them. Fortunately, I haven't experienced it and I will be careful when applying this lipstick.

Ini adalah produknya secara langsung. Pengemasannya ramping dan simpel. Warna lipsticknya juga sangat cantik. Aku beli produk ini kira-kira Rp.35.000,- karena lagi diskon. Harga aslinya Rp.45.000,- tertulis di website Wardah.

Warna yang kupilih adalah warna pink koral yang mempunyai hasil dof. Lebih banyak aku lihat warnanya, lebih suka aku sama warnanya.

Satu hal, aku sudah baca beberapa review tentang produk ini dan beberapa dari review itu mengatakan bahwa lipsticknya patah. Untungnya, aku belum mengalami hal itu dan aku pasti akan menjadi lebih hati-hati ketika memakai produk ini.

Swatch

The picture above is the swatch of the product on the back of my hand. It has a matte finish and it is pigmented for a lipstick that is this cheap. I was happy that it came out pigmented.

Gambar di atas adalah contoh produknya di belakang tanganku. Lipsticknya punya hasil yang dof dan ini lumayan pigmented untuk lipstick yang harganya semurah ini. Aku sangat senang lipsticknya pigmented.

This is the swatch of the product on my lips. As you can see, my upper lip is quite dark and this lipstick covered it. Also, this product stayed on for hours, even when drinking or eating, although it was not as pigmented as when I first applied it. It stayed on very well on my lips.

Ini adalah swatch dari produknya di bibirku. Seperti yang kalian bisa lihat, bibir atasku agak gelap dan lipsticknya bisa menutupinya. Dan juga, produk ini bertahan berjam-jam, walaupun kamu makan atau minum, walaupun tidak senyala waktu aku pertama kali memakainya. Lipsticknya bertahan dengan bagus di bibirku.

Alright, so I will summarize the pros and cons of this product.

Pros

• packaging is simple and sturdy
• very pigmented
• very cheap (IDR 45.000)
• the colour is very pretty

Cons

• I hope they can release more vibrant and 'brave' colours, because I saw all of the shades before buying this, and there was not any shade that was, like, say, a vibrant purple or a deep berry colour

Will I repurchase? Of course! I would like to try other shades as well as other lipstick lines from Wardah.

Review : Sleek iDivine Eyeshadow Palette in Sunset

Hi again guys! Today I have an exciting review for you guys. The product that I'm going to be reviewing today is by Sleek Eyeshadow in Sunset.

I was debating to get either this version or in Storm. But this palette is very hard to find, and I think it will get even harder in the future to find, so I got this one first, and it didn't disappoint me at all.

The box packaging is really nice and quite catchy. It has the name of the palette. It comes with 12 different shadows.

Ingredients :

Mica, Talc, Paraffinum liquidum, Magnesium Stearate, Ethyexyl Palmitate, Dimethicane, Propylparaben, Methylparaben

Here is how the palette looks like. It replicates its name 'Sleek' because it does look sleek. I had to irradiate the palette to get a look on the 'Sleek makeup' writing.

Product

And, moment of truth, this is how the eyeshadows look like. I was so amazed with the colours and they look so beautiful. FYI, they are all shimmery or metallic eyeshadows, with only one matte black shadow at the top left corner.

The eyeshadow palette comes with a sponge applicator and a plastic separator. I didn't take a picture with the plastic separator because it was just a plain sheet of plastic without any names of the shadow, so I don't think the eyeshadows have names.

Duh, I don't have to describe the colours with flash. They all look so beautiful.

Swatches

These are the eyeshadow swatches on my arm. I will describe each colour and I hope I can describe them in detail.

The eyeshadows will be described from left to right.

Sunset #1 : This colour is a matte black shade. It is really pigmented and I love how they put a plain black shade because the rest of the colours are not matte at all.

Sunset #2 : This is a metallic pinkish coral shade. It is a really beautiful shade.

Sunset #3 : This is a metallic pinkish coral shade too. It is quite similar to shade number 2, although it is lighter and oranger in flash and in person.

Sunset #4 : This is a shimmery straight-on orange colour. It looks really beautiful too, although I don't think it is a daily wearable shade.

Sunset #5 : This is a shimmery yellow champagne colour. And again, it looks really beautiful.

Sunset #6 : This colour is a shimmery bright blue shade. Some may find it a nuisance because it doesn't fit with the other colours, but for me, I still think that it is a beautiful shade that I will somehow find a way to work it out with. One downside though, I think this eyeshadow is the least pigmented shade.

Sunset #7 : This colour is one of my favourite colours in this palette. It is a metallic purple shade that will compliment the coral and pink shades.

Sunset #8 : This colour is a metallic pink shade. It looks very similar to shade number 3. The difference is that this colour look more pinkish than the other one.

Sunset #9 : This colour is a metallic copper brown shade.

Sunset #10 : This colour is a shimmery toned down gold shade. This colour is the most shimmery shade of all the shades.

Sunset #11 : This colour is a shimmery rose gold shade that is very beautiful.

Sunset #12 : This last colour is also a bright shimmery shade that is similar to shade number 11. The difference is that this colour looks more pinkish.

The pigmentation of all these eyeshadows are really great. The texture is really creamy and buttery. It has almost no fallouts. So far I'm really impressed with this palette.

So, here are the pros and cons of the palette.

Pros

• very pigmented (no eyeshadow primer needed)
• cheap price (I got it for IDR 180.000)
• buttery and creamy texture
• almost no fallout
• the shades are very pretty
• last a long time

Cons

• some of the shades look really similar to each other

Rate : 5/5

It is by far the best eyeshadow palette for the price. I really love this palette!

Will I repurchase? Of course! I would like to try other versions of this i-Divine line.

Review & Swatches : Etude House Play Color Eyes in So Hot Play

Hi guys! Today I have an eyeshadow review and swatches for you guys. It is from the Etude House Play Color Eyes collection in So Hot Play. This is the visual look of the packaging.

I like the packaging of this product. It is simple yet cute, travel-friendly and compact. However, there is one minus for the packaging : it won't close securely. I have had this problem ever since I got this palette, and this requires me to keep the box packaging in case it might open by itself during travelling.

When you open the palette, there is a plastic separator that has the shades names and a full size mirror. The mirror is extremely useful, especially when you are travelling.
There are also 2 sponge applicators that are actually quite useful too.

This is how the shadows look like when you remove the plastic separator. As you can see, there are a few shades that looks like I have actually used them and there are some that looks untouched.

Swatches

Here are the swatches of the eyeshadows. I will describe the eyeshadows one by one from left to right.

Party Gold - it is a shimmery champagne gold eyeshadow that has a lot of glitters in it. This eyeshadow is quite chalky and has a lot of fallout.

Burning Red - this is a true red matte eyeshadow that is really pretty. Unfortunately, I don't find this wearable and color-friendly during the day. It is quite pigmented.

Temptation - it is a matte burgundy eyeshadow that is also really pretty. To me, it gives off a vampire-y feel whenever I apply this. It is quite pigmented.

Naked - as it is called, this shade looks 'naked', although it does neutralize my eyes for the next colors. However, it looks like I just applied compact powder to my face.

Pony Tail - it is a metallic brown shade that is-I think-the most beautiful shade in the palette, because I can literally wear this alone and it still looks natural. It isn't that metallic and wearable. It is currently the most used eyeshadow in this palette.

Modern City - it is a metallic dark grey shade that is really pigmented. It goes on smooth. This eyeshadow and the next two are very suitable for smoky eyes.

Chic Blue - it is a metallic dark blue shade that is really pretty and quite pigmented too. Suitable for smoky eyes.

All Night - it is a black glittery shade. I don't this shade is very pigmented and I'm not really happy with the pigmentation in this shade.

Snow Queen - it is a really glittery white shade. I find this shade the most chalky and difficult to work with. It has a lot of fall out and it doesn't look good on my eyes either.

Military Khaki - this shade is quite similar to Pony Tail, only it is greener than the other one. It is quite a good shade, but not that pigmented.

I will immediately conclude my review in pros and cons.

Pros

• compact and travel-friendly
• some of the shades are pigmented and pretty
• comes with two sponge applicators

Cons

• quite expensive (IDR 219.000) compared to another eyeshadow that I got the other day
• colors are not that pigmented, and some colors are just very not pigmented
• glittery shades have a lot of fall outs

Rate : 2/5

I didn't enjoy this palette very much and I rarely reach out for this palette. Plus, I'm very sure that Etude House discontinued this palette because it is a limited edition palette.

Will I repurchase? No. I am sure I can find better quality palettes for that price. Review coming soon!

Review : Mizzu Eyeliner Pen in Black & Brown

Hi fellow readers! Today I have another Mizzu product review for you guys. It's the eyeliner pen from Mizzu. I got it for only IDR28.000 each. Let's start with the box packaging.

Hi sesama pembaca! Hari ini aku punya review produk Mizzu lagi buat kalian. Produknya adalah eyeliner pennya Mizzu. Aku membelinya hanya dengan harga Rp 28.000,- Mari kita mulai dengan pengemasan boxnya.

The black one and the brown one have two different packaging, and I don't know why, remembering that both of the product themselves have the exact same packaging, except for the colour.

Eyeliner yang hitam dan yang coklat mempunyai pengemasan yang berbeda, dan aku gak tahu kenapa, mengingat produk aslinya mempunyai packaging yang sama, kecuali untuk warna.

Packaging

This is the product itself. Packaging is simple and straight to the point.

Ini adalah produk aslinya. Pengemasannya simpel dan langsung ke fungsi produknya.

It also has a sponge applicator, which I didn't mind because I don't think it affected the easiness of the application.

Produk ini mempunyai aplikator spons, yang tidak aku permasalahkan karena aku tidak berpikir bahwa itu mempengaruhi kemudahan aplikasinya.

Swatch

Here is the swatch of the product on the back of my hand. The black one is quite opaque, but the brown one isn't distributed properly by the sponge applicator.

Ini adalah swatch produknya di belakang tanganku. Eyeliner yang hitam lebih pekat, tapi yang coklat tidak terdistribusi dengan rata oleh aplikator sponsnya.

Black

And, this is the with and without picture of the product on my eye. The black one glided on smoothly and quite opaquely.

Dan, ini adalah gambar 'with' dan 'without' dari eyelinernya di mataku. Eyeliner yang hitam sangat smooth dan lumayan pekat.

Brown

This is the application of the brown eyeliner on my eye. I have to be honest, I don't like the brown one. I like the colour, though. It's natural and not so heavy on the eye. But the application was so hard. The sponge applicator didn't distribute the product evenly, and I had to go through the lines I drew several times. And strangely, after I removed this brown eyeliner, the product turned maroon red.

FYI, I wear contact lenses. And whenever I wear makeup, I always remove my contact lenses before removing my makeup. Unfortunately, this eyeliner rubbed off as I remove my contact lenses and it transferred quite a bit onto the lenses. I decided not to wear this eyeliner ever again when I'm wearing contact lenses.

Ini adalah aplikasi dari eyeliner coklatnya di mataku. Aku harus jujur, aku tidak menyukai yang coklat, walaupun aku suka warnanya. Warnanya natural dan tidak terlalu berat di mata. Tapi aplikasinya sangat susah. Aplikator sponsnya tidak mendistribusi produknya dengan rata, dan aku harus menggambar ulang garis yang telah aku gambar beberapa kali. Dan anehnya, setelah aku menghapus eyelinernya, eyelinernya berubah menjadi merah maroon.

Hanya sebagai informasi kalian, aku adalah pengguna lensa kontak. Dan setiap kali aku memakai makeup, aku selalu melepas lensa kontakku sebelum menghapus makeupku. Sayangnya, eyeliner ini terhapus seiring aku melepas lensa kontakku. Jadi aku memutuskan untuk tidak memakai eyeliner ini ketika aku memakai lensa kontak.

Test

And of course, I had to do the rubbing and waterproof test. Above is the eyeliner that I slightly rub thrice. So, it isn't very smudgeproof.

Dan tentu saya, aku harus melakukan tes usap dan waterproof. Di atas adalah eyelinernya yang aku usap sedikit sebanyak tiga kali. Jadi, eyeliner ini tidak terlalu smudgeproof.

This one is the waterproof test. Under running water, it didn't wear off. However, after I slightly rubbed it, it rubbed off quite much. So again, this eyeliner isn't waterproof.

Ini adalah tes waterproof-nya. Di bawah air mengalir, eyeliner-nya tidak hilang. Tetapi, setelah aku usap sedikit, eyeliner-nya hilang lumayan banyak. Jadi sekali lagi, eyeliner ini tidak waterproof.

So here are the pros and cons of this product

Pros

• the black one is quite intense
• dries matte
• very cheap (I got it for IDR 28.000)

Cons

• not smudgeproof
• not waterproof
• the brown one is hard to apply evenly

Rate : 3/5

minus 2 points because it's neither smudgeproof nor waterproof

Will I rephurcase? Nope, I will pay more for better quality eyeliner.

Unfortunately, I don't think this product is for me.
