Review : Etude House Face Blur SPF 33 PA++

Hi guys! Today I have a product review from Etude House. The name of the product is Face Blur with SPF 33 PA++. It is supposed to be a face primer or base before applying foundation.
Let's take a look at the product.

The product came with a box cover. The box describes the direction and ingredients of the product. I think it explains the product really well and thankfully, there are some English words on there.

There are also more complete description of the product on Etude House official website.
Here is what the website says.

What it is
This lightweight cream provides multi-filtering effects for instantly refined and smooth skin.
The texture is smooth but it minimizes pores and brighten complextion.

What it does
- Covers pores and bumpy skin to make skin look flawless.
- Softening skin layer like filter effect to give smooth and even skin layer.
- Natural whitening skin to make dark skin look bright and cover imperfections flawlessly while remaining invisible on-screen and in real life.

This product does contain so many ingredients that I don't recognize, so it is better to look up for the ingredients or from cosdna.com. Here is the ingredients broken up by cosdna.

And as always, Etude House never disappoints with the packaging. I think it is nicely packaged, moreover, it has a pump, which I personally always prefer.
The lid covers the pump with a click sound and the bottle is plastic, but doesn't feel cheap at all. The colour of the packaging is also pretty nice and girly, but not princess-y like the usual Etude House.
Overall, the whole packaging is a plus for me.

Swatches

The product itself is in pastel peach color. The pump squeezes out adequate amount of product. On the swatch on the back of my hand, the lotion blended out into the skin quite well, but you can see that my hand that has the product in visibly brighter than my bare skin.

Oh, and it smells like baby powder, which I really like. It doesn't linger and is quite settled. I mean, who doesn't like the smell of babies?

It took me one full pump of the product to cover half of my face with a sponge. It doesn't make a big difference with using fingers.

The product brightens up my skin without going overboard, which is what I really like. I think it has something to do with the SPF part, which is a plus because you can skin sunscreen when you're in a hurry and just apply this.
It does blur out my complexion, although it doesn't cover dark spots in any way. Well, it does what it claims to do.

This product also makes applying foundation a lot easier, hence it is a great base primer for the face. I also find that my foundation or concealer last longer with this as a primer.

Let's go over what it claims to do on the Etude House website.
- Covers pores and bumpy skin to make skin look flawless.
It does cover the pores and bumpy skin texture, but not completely and they are still visible.

- Softening skin layer like filter effect to give smooth and even skin layer.
This claim is true because my skin does feel a lot smoother and more even than not applying this.

- Natural whitening skin to make dark skin look bright and cover imperfections flawlessly while remaining invisible on-screen and in real life.
It does whiten, brighten the skin but it doesn't 'cover imperfections flawlessly'. It looks natural on screen and in real life though.

- Baby pixel powder and cover powder compounds give 3-in-1 multi filter effect like adju
sting light on skin.
I actually don't really understand this part. But I guess it does give multi filter effect on the skin because it blurs out some pores and brightens the skin really well.

So, here are the pros and cons of the product

Pros
  • has SPF 33 and PA++
  • blurs out imperfections
  • brightens up complexion
  • perfect packaging and has a pump
  • smells really nice and isn't overpowering
Cons
  • doesn't cover up dark spots
Rate : 4.5/5
It claimed to 'cover imperfections flawlessly', but it doesn't cover up my acne spots and just brightens it up to look 'covered', so I guess if you have a nice skin with a little bit of uneven skin tone, it may do what it claimed.
Overall, I really like this product as a primer or to be used alone for the sunscreen and natural brightening effect.

Will I repurchase?
I think I will, if I don't find any better base primer than this.

That's all for my review today. I hope you find this review helpful! See you guys on future reviews.

SILKY GIRL Big Eye 2-in-1 Eyliner in 01 Blackest Snow

Hi guys! Today I have a mini review for you guys. It is from a local brand Silky Girl. I bought this from Guardian for about IDR 40,000, which is a reasonable price because you get two ends of the product.

The side with the black colour has more product than the side with the white colour. The product is covered wih cap and you can sharpen the product with regular clean sharpener.

The product is creamy and glides on smoothly on the skin. I really like the pigmentation as well. But the major problem is that both of the eyeliner smudge really easily.
Thus, the lasting power of the product is below average and you wouldn't want to touch the product in any way because it can be smudged easily.
So, I would like to recommend this product only for those you will put other products on top of this eyeliner, for example: outlining your face art.

So, here are the pros and cons of the product.

Pros
  • opaque colours
  • affordable price (IDR 40,000)
  • creamy and easy to apply
Cons
  • smudges extremely easily
  • doesn't last long
Rate : 2/5
I don't think the easy application affect the score very much because no matter how well you draw your eyeliner, it disappears easily and it is no use in the end.

Will I repurchase?
I don't think so. With its lasting power, this product can't be used on its own as eyeliner.

Hope you find this review helpful! Comment your thoughts about this product and I will see you guys on future posts. See you next time!

Review : SILKY GIRL Long-Wearing Lipliner 03 Rose

Hi guys! Today's review is from a local brand in my country Indonesia, which is SILKY GIRL and the name of the product is Long-Wearing Lipliner. I got the colour is number 3 Rose, and I believe they have 3 other colours avaiable, which are Nude, Mauve, and Maroon.
I think I got this product for about IDR 40,000, which is quite affordable.

This is how the product looks like.

The product is really slim and it is retractable. The retractable product makes application a lot easier because you won't have to bother sharpening the lip liner. The cap makes a click sound when it closes, which is nice because the product is travel-friendly.

Bentuk produknya ramping and bisa dinaikturunkan.

The colour is actually really nice. However, I had a hard time applying it because it is quite hard to apply. The texture of the product is hard and it showed when I tried to swatch it on the back of my hand.

Then, I tried to test its function by pressing my lips together. I felt quite dry and it isn't creamy whatsoever, which is what you would want in a lip liner, so that the lipstick that you're going to apply on top of your lips can stick well and last a lot longer.
But I wouldn't want to apply it on its own, because it emphasizes my lines really visibly and it is quite drying.

Warnanya sendiri sebenarnya sangat cantik.

So, here are the pros and cons of the product.

Pros

  • makes lipstick on top of it last a lot longer
  • the colour is nice
  • travel-friendly
  • retractable product
Cons
  • extremely drying formula
  • hard to apply
Rate : 3/5
I substract the points because the cons are quite major for me.

Will I repurchase?
I don't think so. I would like to try lip liners with creamier formula and this product isn't in any way creamy.

Hope you find this review helpful! See you guys on future reviews!

Review : Etude House Color Lips Fit in OR201 Dream Fit Coral

Hi guys! Today I have a lipstick review for you guys. It is the Etude House Color Lips Fit in number OR201 Dream Fit Coral.
Here is the colour selection of the entire line.

Image result for etude house color lips fit

Onto the actual product. It is in a typical lip tint clear tube, where you can see the colour exactly. I got this as a gift, and I personally liked this colour on the tube.

Et

The tube is in a twist cap style and I find it travel-friendly because it doesn't leak out products and the twist cap feels really secure. The doe foot applicator is really nice as well.

The swatch of the product is quite nice. The formula isn't patchy. My first impression was that the neon colour might not suit me because I have darker skin tone than most of Korean girls.
This product applies as a liquid at first, then after a few minutes, it will begin to set into a matte formula, just like how a regular liquid-to-matte lipstick would.

The first thing that I notice upon application was the scent. It has a strong sweet soda scent that lingers for quite a while, but it disappears as the product dries down. For those of you who doesn't like strong scents, you might resent this product quite a bit. But for me, I personally don't mind the scent because it smells nice to me and it disappears eventually.

My original lip colour is dark to begin with, and I have tried to cover up my lips with concealer first, but that only made the neon colour stand out even more. So, in the swatch above, I don't have any concealer underneath.

The matte formula didn't really dry out my lips. If it weren't for the colour, I would have tested the product out for a few hours. I really don't like the colour of the lipstick on my lips, because it doesn't suit me in any way even though I have tried to make it work. The colour was quite patchy on my upper lip, maybe because of my original lip colour.
So, if you are someone who has uneven lip colour, you might want to apply concealer first.

As for the formula, I actually really like it. After I remove the lipstick, it doesn't dry out my lips.

In conclusion, I would like to give this product a chance if it weren't for the colour. I don't think it suits me, but it would look pretty on girls with paler skin tone.

So, here are the pros and cons of the product

Pros

  • doesn't dry out my lips
  • formula changes into a long-lasting matte formula
  • smells really nice (like sweet soda)
Cons
  • the colour doesn't suit me AT ALL
  • people with darker skin tones than me and people who don't like strong scents might dislike ths product
Rate : 2/5
Seriously, I would really enjoy this lipstick if it weren't for the colour. I can't wear this anywhere and I can't make this colour work in any way possible.

Will I repurchase?
I would like to try other colours, but for now, this product doesn't really intrigues me that much.

Review: Peripera Peri's Ink Velvet no 6 Celeb Deep Rose

Hi guys! Today I have a lip tint review from Peripera. Peripera has always been famous for their lip tints. They first launched the Peri's Ink lip tint, which is famous for its crazy lasting power.
So this time, they release the velvet version, with more MLBB (My Lips But Better) colours. I personally really like these types of colours. I picked one up for about IDR 95,000 and the original price is KRW 9,000.

Here are the colour selection of the velvet line.

Here is what the packaging looks like. It came with cute hard paper packaging. I believe every shade has their own shade on the package itself and I find it really cute.

Unfortunately, there are only a few English lines and it may bother people who don't read or understand Korean. For me, I am only able to read Korean characters, but often times I don't understand the meaning of the words.

I also really like the of the packaging. The packaging looks like an ink tube, with a dropper-like cap, although I can't squeeze the dropper thing.
The packaging itself is sturdy, with the twist cap and non-leaking tube, I can always throw it in my purse without worrying about it spilling everywhere.

Swatches

This is how the shade looks like. It is a pretty rosy pink. I personally don't have a colour in this particular stage, and it is surely an MLBB shade for my skin tone.

This is the swatch on my lips. I was looking for a pink lip tint, because I tend to have orange tones lip tints and lipsticks. I am usually thrown off by bright neon lip colours that Koreans like to use on their lips. I think this pink shade is a good start for me.

As for the formula, it isn't liquidy at all like how lip tints usually feel. I would say it seems more like liquid lipsticks than lip tints.

The lasting power is still really great, although I don't own the Peri's Ink original version. It feels like lipstick and transfers a bit, but not crazily like a regular lip stick does. It lasted me really long and it is still there until I removed it. After a few hours, it doesn't feel like anything but it still doesn't dry out the lips.

So, here are the pros and cons of the product.

Pros
  • cute but sturdy packaging
  • pretty colour
  • great lasting power
Cons
  • anyone who doesn't like the stickiness of a lipstick may not like it as much
Rate: 5/5
I personally really like this product, despite the misinterpretation of the lipstick-like lip tint. But, I overlooked that because the overall product is really nice.

Will I repurchase?
Maybe. I would like to try some other colours as well but I don't think I will do that in a near time.

I hope you guys find this review helpful. What are your thoughts about this product? Feel free to discuss it with me on the comment section down below!

Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips-Talk Chiffon in BE110

A girl can never have enough lipstick.

Hi guys! Today, I have a lipstick review from a well-known Korean brand Etude House. It is from their chiffon lisptick line, which is popular in Korea because of its in-between finish, which is right in the middle of matte and glossy. It retails for about KRW 9,000 and I bought it for IDR 95,000 from an online store.

Image result for etude house chiffon lipstick

This was the product that Lily Maymac endorsed for when she was in Korea. I really liked the shade that she was wearing, but I settled for the darker one because I was afraid that the shade wouldn't suit me, but now that I have bought the darker one, I would like to try out the shade that Lily Maymac was wearing as well!

Here is how the packaging looks like.

I got mine in the shade BE110 "Waiting Chiffon Beige", which is quite a weird name for a lipstick, but I think it has something to do with the rhymes of Korean letters which sound like 'shipeun' and the word 'chiffon'.

I've read in many reviews that on the cap of the lipstick, they actually attached real mirror to help us with application on the go. And honestly, I could care less about the mirror thing. I think it's too small to see through that small mirror, and I think that if they were going to attach a mirror to help us on the go, they might have as well put a nice size, like how the Kailijumei lipstick did.

Other than the small mirror, I don't have any other complaint about the packaging. It has cute lego-like appearance, and pink plastic packaging like how Etude House usually does their packaging, but this time the princess-y theme is much more settled, which may be a pro for girls who don't like cute packaging. I really like this type of packaging though.

Although the caps are made of plastic, it is still sturdy, it has click sounds when opening and closing the cap, which ensures that the cap won't fall off out of nowhere in your bag.

Swatches

First thought of the colour, it looks really pretty! It looks like a pinkish dusty rose. It is the colour that I would go for on a daily basis, because it looks natural and it doesn't look like I'm using anything when applied a little. My lips just doesn't look pale and I'm good with that.

Here are the swatches of the product on my lips. I think this shade really suits my skin tone so well! I really love this type of colour. I feel like the sharp edge of the lipstick makes it really easy to reach the cupid's bow.

As for the longevity, because it is a semi-matte lipstick, I find it lasting long enough for a lipstick. Without drinking or eating, it could last for about 2-3 hours without reapplying. But if you constantly drink with this lipstick on, it can fade on the inner part of the lips in about an hour.
It still transfers like a lipstick does, but not as easily as glossy lipstick does. I could solve it by reapplying and I don't mind at all.
It can dry out your lips if you don't prep before. Since this is a semi-matte lipstick, that is expected to come because of the finish. But it doesn't dry out the lips like a liquid-to-matte lipstick does.

So, here are the pros and cons of the product.

Pros
  • cute and sturdy packaging
  • affordable price for such a high quality lipstick! (KRW 9,000)
  • really beautiful shade! (BE110)
  • semi-matte finish (which is something I prefer over the glossy lipsticks)
  • long-lasting
Cons
  • can dry out the lips because of the semi-matte finish
  • I find the mirror size quite impractical (although you can make it work)

Rate : 4.5/5
Will I repurchase? Of course! I would like to try the other colours as well!

Overall, I really like this lipstick for its colour and finish, and I would like to try other colours as well!

Have you guys tried it out? Feel free to share your thoughts about this product with me on the comment section down bellow!

Hope you find this review helpful. See you guys on future posts, bye!

Korean Skincare Samples Tryout: Innisfree Green Tea Seed Cream, The Face Shop Chia Seed No Shine Hydrating Cream, Etude House Moistfull Essence, Cream

Hi guys! Today's post will be about an essence that I've been using for months now. It is Moistfull Collagen Essence from Etude House.

But, before I go to the actual review, I would like to explain my 'journey' before choosing this essence as my daily moisturizer. I don't really know how the Korean skin care system works, so I just go on with what I feel right.

From the beginning, I had always thought that moisturizers were only for those with normal or dry skin. My face has always been on the oily side, and acne prone. I have been on various dermatologists to cure my acne prone skin, but none of them really worked out well.
I found out that people with oily skin still needed to apply moisturizers, to trick the skin into thinking that they had enough sebum, so then they would stop producing more sebum.

One learning experience, on one morning, I woke up with the oiliest face I could have ever felt, so I washed my face. I forgot to apply moisturizer, so after about 10 minutes, my face became oily again, but my cheeks were flaking off from dry, dead skin cells! I was really shocked, so I went to wash my face twice, and immediately applied my mom's thick moisturizer after that. Then, my skin started feeling better.
Moral of the story: always apply your moisturizer, even though you have an oily type face!

I got some skin care samples from an online store, I just got myself what is available at that moment.

DISCLAIMER : I only tried out the sample size of these products for a few days, so my opinion may not be solid true, but these are my thoughts and opinions after few days application. I have an OILY, ACNE PRONE skin.

Here are what I got to try on myself.

I had the highest expectations with the Innisfree Green Tea Seed serum. So I tried it first.

Innisfree Green Tea Seed Line

I only try out the Green Tea Seed Cream. Here is what the product looks like.

I was quite thrown off by the cream because it feels quite thick. The smell was kinda strong too. I tried it on anyway, but it wasn't what I was expecting.

Because of the thick consistency, I found my face becoming oily quite quickly. I really like it when moisturizers give cooling sensation upon application, but it didn't give out any cooling sensation, or even feel fresh. My face was quite sticky after application, but it still feels moist.

Rate : 3/5
Overall, I didn't really like this one because of the smell and thickness.

The Face Shop Chia Seed No Shine Hydrating Cream

I took a few days off, so that my face can 'neutralize' itself from the cream. After a few days, I tried on the other cream, which is from The Face Shop Chia Seed line. I really hoped this one would work, after my luck with the green tea seed cream didn't turn out well.

This one has a clear colour and was quite thick, but not as thick as the Innisfree Green Tea Seed Cream. It gives a cooling sensation upon application.
The funny thing is, it really reminded me of a cream that I used to use from a dermatologist, which didn't work out well for me. I always remembered that when applying this cream.

I kept using this until the very last bit of product, mostly because of the cooling sensation it gave me on every application. But I had to stop myself from buying the full size product, because I felt like this product broke me out on my cheeks.

I really liked this one too, but it was quite pricy, about IDR 250.000-350.000 on online shops. The full size is in a glass jar, and comes with a spatula, I believe.

Rate : 4/5
Overall, I really liked this one, but because it broke me out after I finished the product, I closed my mind on buying the full size product.

Etude House Moistfull Collagen line

After a few days of taking a break for my skin as well, I tried out the last sample and really hoped that one of them really worked. One of them had to!

This product has the largest size, and has 3 variations of products to try out from the line. I only tried the cream and essence. I gave all the eye creams to my mom.

First, I tried out the Etude House Moistfull Collagen Cream.

I'm really sorry that I don't have the photo of the product, I think I accidentally deleted it because I procrastinated this post for quite a long time. But, oh well.

I liked the product, but it didn't give cooling sensation on the face. Or at least, my face didn't feel fresh after application. But the product itself was pretty good, and it didn't break me out at all.

Rate : 4.5/5
Overall, I really like the product, but it didn't give fresh finish that I've been looking for my oily skin.

After a few days, the sample ran out and I tried out the Etude House Moistfull Collagen Essence.

Upon application, I knew that this was the right moisturizer for me. It gave off cooling sensation and my face felt really fresh after application. After it got absorbed into the skin, my face didn't feel oily at all.

I compared the essence and the cream on COSDNA and I found out that the essence has more safe ingredients than the cream, so it gave me more reasons to choose the essence instead of the cream.

Rate: 5/5
I really like this one and I chose this essence as my daily moisturizer. Full review on this link.

So, I hope you guys found this quick review helpful. Feel free to comment your thoughts down below and I will see you guys on next posts. Bye!
