Review: Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder

Hi guys! Today I have a review from the brand Innisfree. Innisfree is a Korean brand that is famous for its skincare, although their makeup is just as good.
Here I am reviewing their No Sebum Mineral Powder.

The packaging is mint-coloured with a twist cap. The are some descriptions of the product on the back of it and it has a symbol of open jar that indicates the expiry month, which is 24 months after opening it.

It is a loose powder which retails for KRW 7,000, and they also have a pressed powder that is more expensive, so I got this one instead and have not run out of it since I bought it.

This is my face before and after applying the product. I really like that it mattifies the face without making it look cakey. The application is also really easy, although it is a loose powder, but loose powder tends to become messy when put out of the jar, so beware of that. It doesn't become messy if I apply it with the sponge.

The purpose of this product is mainly to mattify and keep sebum from peeking through the skin, so if you're looking for a powder that has coverage, I suggest you to try out their No Sebum Blur Powder instead, because this powder doesn't provide any coverage by any means.

This powder did keep my face oil-free for several hours, but after that, I found my face becoming oily again, maybe it is because of my originally oily face, but I can easily retouch.

So, here are the pros and cons of the product.

Pros
  • keeps your face oil-free
  • affordable (KRW 7,000)
  • doesn't look cakey at all
Cons
  • doesn't last very long

Rate : 4/5
I subtracted one point because of the lasting power.

Will I repurchase?
I might consider repurchasing this, but I really want to try out many other powders that may be better than this one.

Hope this review helps! Share your thoughts about this products on the comment down below. I'll see you guys on future posts!

Review: Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder in Precious Petals

Hi guys! I'm really happy to be able to write and post again. I was busy with making a lightbox for better quality pictures, and I hope I can deliver that.
Today's review is about this highly talked highlighter from the drugstore. It is supposed to be a limited edition spring collection, but they just restocked and I guess it's because of the high demand.
The product name is Wet N Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder.

This is how the product looks like. The packaging is really simple and quite sturdy. It retails for $3.99 on the official website.

Desciption
  • Velvety-smooth highlighting powder
  • Enhances skin with a naturally luminous glow
  • Infused with shimmering pearl pigments
Ingredients
Boron Nitride, Dimethicone, Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Nylon-12, Ethyl Macadamiate, Polysorbate 20, Phytosteryl Macadamiate, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Phenoxyethanol, Sorbitan Stearate, Lauroyl Lysine, Caprylyl Glycol, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Hexylene Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, o-Cymen-5-ol, Polyacrylamide, Tocopheryl Acetate, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Laureth-7, [+/- (MAY CONTAIN/PEUT CONTENIR): Mica, Titanium Dioxide/CI 77891, Iron Oxides/CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499, Carmine/CI 75470].

The ingredients are listed both on the website and on the back of the packaging, which is nice. The product is sealed with a sticker on the bottom, which said the net weight of the product, which is 0.19 OZ / 5.4 grams.

The product has a really nice floral pattern, which is really pretty. The product itself shines upon reflecting it with light. I was so excited when it came and I could finally get my hands on it, since everybody in youtube was raving about this.

Touching it with my fingers feel so smooth and buttery. This highlighter is adequately pigmented, not too pigmented for a highlighter but still really wet and metallic looking.
I really really like the texture and couldn't get enough just by touching the product. It feels really nice.
It does have some fallouts when brushing the product, but I don't have any problem with cleaning it away.

Here is the swatch on the back of my hand. The right one is not blended away and the left one is blended. Both look really pretty and illuminating.
The colour itself is a champagne gold with a hint of peachiness to it. It is quite glittery and leaves glitter on the skin after cleaning it away. I had to wash my face or my hand to get the glitters off.

And this is the swatch on the face. It looks stunning! I actually have another highlighter that has the same shade from elf, which is the Baked Highlighter in Blush Gems. I didn't really like the pigmentation on that one and to get really good pigmentation, we have to spray it with water, but this one applies really well with brushes, and you don't have to use it wet!

It lasted really well on my skin and didn't look as if my skin is oily. With the price tag of only $3.99, it really is a good deal. I am really happy to have made this purchase and being able to get my hands on them!

So, here are the pros and cons of this product :

Pros
  • really affordable ($3.99 for this good of a product)
  • beautiful sheen
  • excellent pigmentation
  • long-lasting
  • the texture is really smooth and buttery
Cons
  • none
Rate : 5/5
I really like this product and I see myself reaching for this more than my ELF baked highlighter.

Will I repurchase?
Of course! However, I don't think I'll ever run out of this as little goes a long way, and it's a limited edition highlighter.

I really recommend you guys to get it while it lasts, before they run out of stock.

Thanks for reading my posts! What do you guys think of this product? Feel free to comment your thoughts down below.
Hope this review helps and see you guys on future posts!

Review: Purbasari Matte Lipsticks no. 81, 83, 86

Hi guys! I have a lipstick review for you guys. It is a from a local brand called Purbasari. These matte lipsticks have been out for a while, but just got popular as the trend of matte lipsticks rise. They retail for about IDR 28.000-40.000 in online shops.

Halo semuanya!

The writing on the back of the packaging :

"INOVASI TERBARU DENGAN PELEMBAB"
Tahan lama dan tidak mengkilap
Terasa ringan pada bibir Anda
Melembabkan bibir

Translation:
"NEWEST INNOVATION WITH MOISTURIZER"
Long-lasting and non-shiny
Feels lightweight on your lips
Moisturizes the lips
Colour doesn't fade so that your appearance will stay fresh

Packaging

These lipsticks have an elegant look to it. The colour black and gold really suit each other well and it looks like a high-end lipstick from afar. It has a click sound when opening or closing the product. However, when you hold the product itself, it does feel like plastic and seems really fragile. So, you should avoid dropping it.

Swatches

When swatched on my hand, they glided on my hand smoothly. However, I noticed that #86 was much more creamier than the other two and thus they were easier to apply.

#81 Diamond

This is a really pretty everyday nude shade, with hint of grey in it. I find that this lipstick really suits my skin tone very well. This looks really natural on my lips.

#83 Piruz

This is also a colour with a greyish hint to it. It is a brownish mauve colour. It also suits my skin tone really well.

#86 Topaz

I feel like this colour is the most unique colour I've ever seen on a lipstick. It is a brick red colour that also looks brownish in some lightings.

I really like to apply a little bit on the center on the lips and then blend it out with my fingers. It gives such a natural tint on my lips as it suits my skin tone really well as well as the other 2 colours above.

Product

The product itself is really really amazing. It is moisturizing, feels lightweight on the lips and the colours are really pretty, too. The lasting power is also amazing, as it lasted well as long as you don't eat or drink.

I also noticed that the longer you wear the product, the longer you don't feel it on the lips. I sometimes forget that I'm wearing the lipstick.

The downside is that it does transfer on the first 2 hours upon application. After that, it doesn't transfer as much.

Produknya sendiri sangat sangat bagus.

I know that this product was hit by news saying that it contained mercury. It started from a beauty blogger who tested the product with gold. Initially, products that don't contain mercury should be fine and not turn black when rubbed with gold. If it turns black, that means that the product contains mercury.
Purbasari official instagram account responded to this and demonstrated their test on their products with real gold, along with its sertificate and it didn't turn black. Later on the caption, they explained that the reaction is caused by silver that is in impure gold.
So, problem solved.

Jadi, masalah selesai.

Enough with the long post, so here are the pros and cons of the product. I'll go with the claims on the box first.

  • Moisturizes the lips. True
  • Feels lightweight on your lips. Extremely true

Review : Etude House Dear Darling Tint no 1. Berry Red

Hi guys! Today, I have an Etude House product to review for you guys. It is the Dear Darling Tint in no. 1 in Berry Red. Here is the promotional picture that I searched from Google.
source:wcosmetics.com

I bought this for about IDR 50.000 and it retails for KRW 4,000 on the Etude House website. Onto the product,

This product comes in a tube with a doe foot applicator. The packaging is shaped in curves and looks princess-y, as how Etude House products look like.

The packaging is strong and sturdy that I wouldn't really mind if it dropped onto the floor. However, I think this product uses a lot of space in my purse and thus I can't bring this with me when I'm out with small bags or just putting it in my pocket.

Swatches

The product has gel-like consistency and it smells like sweet cherries. It is a fuschia pink that has a hint of purple to the colour.
The colour is really pretty, however I find this colour not really unique because I see almost every brands that come up with lip tints has this type of colour.

And here is how the product looks like on my lips. When first applied, the smell kind of lingered for quite a while. When blended, the product becomes glossy and feels moisturizing, almost quite too oily. As time goes by, the oiliness disappeared, it didn't feel drying at all to me. (I've seen some reviews that said that the lip tint is drying)

This is my overall face with the lip tint on my lips. It lasted for about 3 hours on me. Overall, I really like this lip tint because it gives a cute pinkish colour on my lips and still looks somewhat natural.

So here are the pros and cons of the product.

Pros
  • gives a natural tint
  • moisturizing
  • really affordable
  • lasts pretty long
Cons
  • not that travel-friendly
Rate : 4/5
It didn't disappoint me, but I find myself reaching out for my Eco Fruits Tint much more and it didn't wow me that much.

Will I repurchase?
I don't think so. I want to explore more lip tints of various brands.

Hope this review helps! Comment down below about what you think of this product.

See you guys on future reviews!

Review: Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lip (Bianca, Bumble, Tulle)

Hi guys! Today I have a liquid lip review from Colourpop. I'm sure that a lot of you are familiar with this US brand.

This is the packaging that the product comes with.

I like that it has the ingredients list on the box. The ingredients list is also listed on the website. In case you can't read the list from the picture:

INGREDIENTS

ISODODECANE, NYLON-12,DIISOPROPYL DIMER DILINOLEATE, TRIMETHYLSILOXYSILICATE, SYNTHETIC FLUORPHLOGOPITE, ALUMINUM CALCIUM SODIUM SILICATE, CALCIUM SODIUM BOROSILICATE, CALCIUM ALUMINUM BOROSILICATE, SODIUM POTASSIUM ALUMINUM SILICATE, SILICA, POLYPROPYLSILSESQUIOXANE, DISTEARDIMONIUM HECTORITE, ALUMINA, TIN OXIDE, PROPYLENE CARBONATE, HYDROGENATED POLYISOBUTENE, PALMITIC ACID.
+/- MICA (CI 77019), TITANIUM DIOXIDE (CI 77891), BLUE 1 LAKE (CI 42090), RED 7 LAKE (CI 15850), RED 7 (CI 15850), RED 30 LAKE (CI 73360), IRON OXIDES (CI 77491), IRON OXIDES (CI 77492), IRON OXIDES (CI 77499), RED 6 (CI 15850), RED 28 LAKE (CI 45410), RED 28 (CI 45410), RED 27 LAKE (CI 45410), RED 21 (CI 45380), RED 21 LAKE (CI 45380), MANGANESE VIOLET (CI 77742), YELLOW 10 LAKE (CI 47005), YELLOW 5 LAKE (CI 19140), YELLOW 6 LAKE (CI 15985), BISMUTH OXYCHLORIDE (CI 77163), BRONZE POWDER (CI 77400), COPPER POWDER (CI 77400), RED 33 (CI 17200), CARMINE (CI 75470), RED 40 LAKE (CI 16035), RED 36 (CI 12085), ORANGE 5 (CI 45370), RED 6 LAKE (CI 15850), RED 22 (CI 45380).

The shade of the product is stuck at one of the end of the box. Every product comes with the same box packaging, with different stickers that indicates the name of the shade.

This product is said to have been reformulated since their initial release. During the first release, many people complained about the formulation of the product. Fortunately, as they come out with more shades, they reformulated the ultra matte lip and has been less drying and more comfortable.
I purchased this product with the newer formulation.

The shades that I bought are: Bianca, Bumble, Tulle.

from left to right: Tulle, Bianca, Bumble

Comparing the tube side by side, Tulle and Bumble seem similar, but when applied on the lips, they look really different as you will see in the swatches later.

This product has a regular sized doe foot applicator, which I really like. It is stiff and that may bother some people because of different types of lips, but I still find it easy to work with.

Bianca

On the website: Soft mauve pink

The first shade is the lightest shade that I bought. I find this colour really pretty when I looked for swatches from the internet.
Unfortunately, I find this colour to be too light for my skin tone, although I can find a way to be able to use this.

This shade dries out my lips quite a bit, and it accentuates the dry parts and lines of my lips and I do not find that flattering. In real life, it makes me look sick.

I was debating to buy Beeper, Midi or this shade, and got my choice on Bianca, and I hate to say that I'm quite disappointed with this colour, but was quite thankful that I chose Bianca over Midi. )Midi is much more lighter that Bianca)

Bumble

On the website: Dusty Warm Terracotta

The next shade is the shade that I tried from my friend, that made me want to buy this. It looks really pretty.

I don't have anything bad to say about this colour. It doesn't accentuate the lines of my lips as much as Bianca did.

Tulle

This colour was the colour that I first bought, before deciding to purchase more from this line. I did not own any dark lipstick before this and I was really glad to have bought this.
It doesn't dry out my lips as much and doesn't accentuate the dry parts of my lips, mostly because this is a dark shade.
It does look really different from the tube and on the swatch.

Overall formula

Matte liquid lipsticks are supposed to be really long lasting, but at the same time really drying. I do not find my products drying at all, especially Tulle. It doesn't wear off after eating, but you do have to be careful because it can slide here and there when in contact with oil.
Overall, it's a really long lasting liquid lipstick, quite comfortable and doesn't dry out my lips as much.

The application is really easy. The product dries really fast, in seconds. However, I find that going back and forth during application did make the product crumble a little bit. So, you do have to be careful with that.

This product doesn't have any scent, which I really really appreciate. I don't like scents in my makeup, especially scents that lingers throughout the day.

So, here are the pros and cons of the product:

Pros
  • really long lasting
  • does not dry out my lips as much
  • does not smell like anything
  • applies really easily
Cons
  • can crumble
Rate: 4/5
I really like it, but I subtracted one point because it can crumble on me.

Will I repurchase? Of course! I would like to try darker colours, because apparently colours any brighter than Bianca would look ugly on me.

Hope this review helps! See you on the next reviews!

Swatches: Wet n Wild Comfort Zone Eyeshadow Palette

Hi guys! Today I have a swatch/mini review of the Wet n Wild Comfort Zone Eyeshadow Palette. I got this as a birthday gift and I was really excited when I first got it.
Here is what the palette looks like.

Unfortunately, it didn't come with a mirror. So, you'll need a separate mirror to apply the eyeshadow on.
Otherwise, the packaging is really nice because it feels sturdy and has a click sound upon opening and closing. So, it won't be shattered into pieces when brought for travelling.

I have to say that the colour is really pretty. On the left side is more for the wearable daily day uses and on the right side is wearable too but the colours aren't the colours that I would like to wear everyday.

Here is the swatches of the eyeshadows. I will describe each shadows one by one.

(ordered from top to bottom)

Browbone #1: This is a really pretty yellow glittery champagne shade. It looks really nice on the inner corners too.

Eyelid #1:The next colour is also really pretty and soft. It is a pink glittery shade. The texture is probably the smoothest out of all.

Crease #1:This next colour is a really pretty every day colour. I can always just apply this with a crease brush and apply eyeliner on. It is a glittery warm brown, almost metallic shade.

Definer #4: This deep glittery warm brown colour is the most difficult shadow to apply. It has the roughest texture out of all 8. It still blends well, though.

Browbone #2: This is a greyish champagne shade and it pairs really well with green shadows.

Eyelid #2: This is a light green shade. I haven't used the right side at all but it looks really nice.

Crease #2: This also has a rough texture. It has a deep green colour and it is the most glittery shade out of all.

Definer #2: I have to say, this colour is the uniquest shade. It looks like a metallic grey shade, but with purple base. It is a really pretty colour.

Overall, if you would like to find a matte palette, don't go for this one because all of the shades are glittery. However, this palette has a really nicely pigmented shadows, especially for daily use. It doesn't crease on my eyes as well.

Here are the pros and cons of the product.

Pros
  • pigmented eyeshadows
  • long-lasting
  • beautiful colors
  • affordable ($4.99 on the Wet n Wild website)
Cons
  • the shades are all glittery (for those of you who doesn't like glitters)
Rate: 5/5
I really love this eyeshadow palette! The quality is really nice, compared to the affordable price.

Will I repurchase?
I don't think so. I would like to try other eyeshadow palettes as well.

Hope this review and swatches helped! Comment down below about what you think about this palette. I'll see you guys in future reviews!
