Review: Beauty Creations Tease Me Eyeshadow Palette

Hi guys! I have another eyeshadow palette review for you guys today. It's from the brand Beauty Creations with their Tease Me eyeshadow palette.

I actually have never heard of the brand before, so I looked the brand online and found out that it is a US brand. I bought this palette for IDR 95.000, which was originally IDR 135.0000. In the official website, this palette is sold at $14.95 each, but they also offer wholesale, so I guess that's where the price gets cut off.

Anyways, onto the products. It comes in a slide-off carton as secondary packaging. The design is exactly the same, so I didn't take picture of the carton and palette in comparison.

Below is the inside palette. There is a medium sized mirror, which I'm not mad at. Looking at the carton packaging, I am already thankful that they included a mirror in this palette.

Here are the colors of the palette. As you can see, the colors are on the pink and brown tones, which are wearable for daily, but not as boring as neutrals only palette. There is a mixture of mattes, metallics, and shimmers on this palette. Some shadows are similar to each other, though.

Let's now move on to swatches.

From top to bottom:

- Lies: matte cream shade
This is a shade that barely shows up on my skin. I think it's because it's close to my skin tone. I rarely use this shade and this shade is probably my least favorite.
- Blissfull: matte medium brown shade
I like to put this shade all over the lids for depth on a daily basis. I think this shade shows up quite well on the skin.
- Pleasure: matte medium warm brown shade
This shade is similar to blissfull, but warmer. I also use this all over the lid for nice and natural depth.
- Kiss me: shimmery champagne shade
This shade is similar with Classy, but more shimmery and less metallic. This shade is similar to my skin tone.
- Innocent: dark matte warm brown shade
This shade is similar with Charming, but it's the warm version. It's quite nice to pair with the lighter matte shades to add more depth.
- Fire: dark burgundy shimmery shade
This shade is simjilar with Tempting and Please me, but this shade is more toned down and less metallic. The shimmers are barely visible. Overall it's a nice shade.

Overall, the first row of the palette contains more of the daily shades. You can definitely make a daily natural look out of the first row alone. For me, I like to use the medium brown shades all over the lids.

Onto the second row:

- Sexy: medium champagne metallic brown shade
I like this shade. It goes on really smooth and pigmented (all of the metallic shades do). It's a pretty pop of metallic on the lids.
- Orgasm: light brownish pink matte shade
This shade is a nice transition shade when you use the pinker shades in the palette. It barely shows up on my skin, though.
- Tempting: metallic dark pink shade
This shade is really pretty! It's really similar with Please me, but comparing them side to side, this shade looks pinker and slightly lighter than Please me.
- Charming: dark cool brown shade
As I said before, this shade is similr with Innocent, only the cool version. This shade is the darkest shade in the palette.
- Nudes: light warm brown shade
This shade is pretty to be combined with Pleasure. It is light and barely shows up on the arm, but shows up on my eyelid.
- Seduce me: light mustard warm brown shade
This shade is similar with Nudes, but has a mustard tone in it. I like to combine this shade with Blissfull. It barely shows up on the swatch, though.

This second row has a variety of colors and some pretty metallics.

Onto the third row:



- Please me: metallic dark pink shade
This shade is also really pretty, a browner version of Tempting. But these two colors actually look really similar.
- Peaches: warm brownish pink shade
This shade is similar with Pleasure, but a lot pinker.
- Classy: metallic champagne shade
This is actually the prettiest shade in the palette. It is really creamy and shows up really well with fingers.
- Dare me: metallic copper brown shade
This shade is also really pretty! It is a nice pop of color, and really creamy and shows up really well.
- Lust: chunky metallic light champagne shade
The first time I saw this palette, I was drawn to this shade. Unfortunately, it doesn't perform really well. It is a beautiful shade, but really chalky and chunky, thus difficult to apply evenly.
- Desire: satin dark brown shade
This shade is really similar with Innocent and Charming, but with small shimmers and satin. It doesn't really show up on the skin though.

Overall, this row contains really pretty pop of colors and metallics for the centre of the lids.

I tried to make an eye look from this palette. Here is what I came up with.

I used quite a few shades, from the lightest: Classy, Dare me, Blissfull + Pleasure, Charming. The look turns out quite well, but I wouldn't wear this kind of look daily.

Overall, there are some pros and cons of this palette. I thought I would just summarize them for you guys.

Pros

• cheap (I bought it for IDR 95,000 from Shopee)
• metallics are really pigmented and creamy
• lasts quite a long time
• can use this palette alone to create an eye look

Cons

• mattes are smooth but not really pigmented
• many similar colors (a huge con for me): Blissfull, Pleasure, Peaches are similar, Orgasm, Nudes, Seduce me are similar, Innocent, Charming, Desire are similar, Fire, Tempting, Please me are similar. Those make up to 3 individual shades and 8 shades that could have been made completely different!

Overall: 3/5

It's a meh palette for me, the metallics are pretty, but the mattes don't make up for the rest of the palette. They're mattes that could be used daily, but I have smaller travel eyeshadow trios from Mizzu and Wardah that could deliver the same thing.

Review : Maybelline The Rock Nudes Eyeshadow Palette

Hi guys! Today I have an eyeshadow palette review for you guys. I got this as a birthday gift from my friend the other day. It is the Maybelline The Nudes eyeshadow palette.

I'm pretty sure that this palette looks familiar to you guys since it's been out for quite a while.

The packaging comes in a plastic case. On the back of the packaging, there are some instructions, barcode, ingredient list and other miscellaneous things.

The palette is sealed on the opening. The lid opens with a click sound and there is a clear part of the packaging that shows the colours that you're getting.

I find that the packaging is nice for travel and doesn't feel cheap nor expensive.

As you can see, I had to crop the brush part because I forgot to include it in the photo and was too lazy to set up the entire photobox thing just to shoot the brush, so I apologize for that.

The brush is nice quality. One of the end is a sponge tip, which is nice to pack pigmentation on the lid, while the other one is a normal eye brush, which is nice to blend the shadows. I usually don't use the brushes that you get in palettes, but this brush is actually usable and nice quality.

Description of each shadows from the finger swatch :

Number 1 : white chalky glitter

Number 2 : light glittery taupe

Number 3 : looks exactly like my skin, so it doesn't show up well

Number 4 : copper bronze with tiny gold glitters in it

Number 5 : light matte taupe, but darker than shade number 2

Number 6 : dark grey brown that I always use to fill in my brows

Number 7 : light brown with tiny gold glitters

Number 8 : dark matte taupe

Number 9 : yellow gold with gold glitters

Number 10 : dark brown with tiny glitters. this shade looks like the glittery version of shade number 8

Number 11 : light champagne

Number 12 : matte black

I swatched the shadows in two different ways, one is finger swatch and the other one is brush swatch (with the brush that comes with the palette).
There are obviously some differences with some of the shadows, but some of the shadows swatch the same with fingers or brushes. So, I would say that there are no big differences.

This is the look that I created using the palette. I feel like this palette is quite challenging to work with. I think the reason why I like to use the grey brown shade to fill in my brows is because the shade isn't that pigmented, so my brows always look natural when I fill them in.
On the eyes, the shades don't really show up that well. This palette may only be suitable for those who like natural makeup, hence the name of the palette, 'The Nudes'.
The lasting power is so-so. My eyelids are quite oily,  so after some time eyeshadows are bound to get mixed with my sebum and sweat and just disappear. I'm not really bothered, since every eyeshadow that I've put on, always disappear on the double eyelid line of my eyes.

So, here are the pros and cons of the palette

Pros

• great packaging for travel
• great shade to fill in the brows
• quite affordable (around IDR 135,000)

Cons

• not that pigmented (esp the black)
• no mirror
• lasting power is so-so

Rate 3/5

I rate it 3 out of 5 because I still reach out for this for my brows. Otherwise, I don't really like the whole palette in general because it is hard to work with the shades to show up on the eyes.

Would I repurchase?

No. I would rather buy a powder brow product if the shade that I always use runs out.

Review: Etude House Drawing Eyebrow AD NEW no.04 Dark Grey

Hi guys! Today I have an Etude House product review. I'm going to be reviewing the Etude House Drawing Eyebrow in number 4 Dark Grey.

They came out with longer version of the older one, now you get 30% more product than the previous one. They also added a shade for people with blonde hair.

I got this for IDR 36.000 and had previously purchased the older version for IDR 26.000.

Here is what the packaging looks like.

I believe they only add more product but the formula is still the same, so is the packaging.

Unfortunately, I don't have the older version. But that's how much you get from this product.

The product is dual-ended. One end is the product itself and the other end is the spoolie, which is really convenient, because you don't have you bring another spoolie when travelling and spoolie creates a much more natural look than without using.

For a small info, the lid broke off while I was swatching the product on the back of my hand. Maybe it's my fault for exposing too much of the lid. So, you'd better watch out for this.

I chose this shade because it is a simple black grey for people with black hair like me. It doesn't look too harsh on your brows and it looks really natural.

This product is also not overly-pigmented, which I like, because you don't want to look like you draw on your eyebrows for a more natural look.

And this is the waterproof test of the product. As you guys can see, it is waterproof but some of the product smeared as I rubbed it hard. It's not that of a big deal, though.

Above is the product on my brows. I apologize for the ugly swatch. I have never actually 'draw' on my eyebrows like that, especially because I don't tidy my brow hair. All this time I only 'fill in' my brows, not 'draw' on them.

This eyebrow pencil is a bit hard, but it is still easy to use and you can easily rub off a mistake. The spoolie makes it a lot easier to soften the harsh edges.

As you can see, the colour really looks natural and it matches my brow hair really well. I have worn this for over 8 hours and it stayed on pretty well.

So, here are the pros and cons of this product.

Pros

• really affordable (IDR 36.000)
• nice and simple packaging
• you get a spoolie
• travel-friendly
• waterproof

Cons

• I don't have any

Rate: 5/5

I really love this product and I have been using this ever since I got into makeup (about 2 years ago).

Will I repurchase? Of course! For its price and quality, I really recommend this for beginners.

Review : Etude House Blink Blink Eye Stick 08 Ivory Baby Star

Hey again to you guys. Today, I have an eyeshadow stick review. It is from Etude House Bling Bling Eye Stick. Mine is in number 8 Ivory Baby Star. They do have quite some pretty colours to choose from.

I bought this 2 years ago for about IDR 40.000. It was really really cheap for an eyeshadow stick that is as beautiful as this.

These are the promotional pictures that Etude House released about 2 years ago.

They are all so gorgeous. Now that I'm looking at the colours again, I wished I had got more colours from this line.

Okay, onto the review.

I'm so sorry if all of the products that I'm reviewing isn't new. I've been using this product ever since I got it and I really really like it.

This is what my product looks like. I tried my best to get the best shot. But, oh well, I'm not that pro either.

This is how much product I have left. And this product sure goes a really long way. I still have this much after using this for 2 years.

The colour is so so gorgeous and I really want to try the other colours as well.

This is the swatch of the product on the back of my hand.

The product glided on very smoothly and creamy. I really like the texture of the product. Because of its creaminess, this product doesn't leave any fallouts. That's why I don't really like to use powdery glitter shadows.

It isn't that pigmented on first and third swipe. However, it got really pigmented at 5 swipes. I could get used to this. Haha.

On the tenth swipe, I reached its full opacity, though I didn't really see much of a difference with the fifth swipe. I think five swipes is enough for me.

This is the product after I rubbed it hard once. Honestly, I wouldn't rub my hands that hard, especially if I were to rub my eyes that hard. However, I don't think this product is very much smudgeproof. I don't really mind this part though.

And this is the product under running water. I did a mistake here by rubbing my hands first before running my hand under water. That's why I'm showing this picture later. This product is waterproof, only if I don't rub it after that obviously.

This is me wearing the product on my inner corners. It doesn't show up that well on camera and it looks more natural. In real life, it looks really pretty. I really really love this product. I always wear this product whenever I wear eyeliner. AND, it lasted all day for me.

In the promotional picture, the model put the eyeshadow on top of her upper eyelid. I never use this product for that, though. I always use this product on my inner corners and it brightens up my eyes really well, although I don't have any eyebags.

So, here are the pros and cons of this product :

Pros

• really cheap for a good quality product (IDR 40.000)
• waterproof
• the colour is VERY pretty
• lasted all day
• brightens up my eyes really well

Cons

• not that smudgeproof

Yep, I think that is the only con to this product, and I don't really mind that.

Although it is not that smudgeproof, I still really love this product.

Will I repurchase?

Of course I will if I have the chance to. I would really love to try other colours as well. They all look very pretty!

Review : Etude House Tear Eye Line #3 Pearl Tear

Hi guys! Today I have an eyeshadow review for you guys. It is from Etude House and the name of the product is Tear Eye Line The one that I'm going to be reviewing today is in number 3 Pearl Tear.

You guys must have been familiar with the product, since it has been out for about 3 or more years now. I also have had this for about 2 years now, but I don't use it that much. I got it for about 60.000 rupiahs from an online shop.

This is the kind of product that you use on your tear duct to give an "innocent" look that is popular in Korea. Many girl idols wear this kind of product on their tear ducts and it always looks great on them.

Anyways, back with the review. This is the brush applicator brush. It is kinda stiff and it picks up the product very well.

This is the swatch of the product.

First of all, you can see that the colour of the product is pink, unlike in the packaging where it looks white.

Second, this product is NOT waterproof at all. I rubbed the eyeshadow lightly and it literally smeared.

And, this is the swatch of the product on my eyes.

The application was a bit hard. The brush does pick up the product easily, but it doesn't apply very well. I could barely apply the product on my eyes evenly.

It lasted all day for me. BUT, I had to restrain myself from rubbing my eyes. It is not really a friendly product if I get something in my eye.

So, here are the pros and cons of this product :

Pros

• The pink colour is very cute for those who like pink
• My eyes looked brighter
• Goes well with my eyeliner
• It was pretty cheap (about IDR 60.000)

Cons

• Not waterproof
• Not smudgeproof
• The application was a bit hard

Rate : 2/5

Unfortunately, I didn't really like the product because the application was really messy and it's not smudgeproof at all.

Will I repurchase? Nope. I'd like to try other products from Etude House that has better quality.
