Review: Peripera Ink Matte Blur Tint #10 True Brick Red

Hi guys! I'm actually really excited for today's review, because it's been a long time since I bought other lip products. Today's review is going to be a product from Peripera. It's the Peripera Ink Matte Blur Tint in number 10 True Red Brick.

I got the darkest color from the bunch to test out my skin tone first. Here is the picture of the actual product.

It comes in a triangular plastic packaging. I think the packaging is really cute yet very straightforward, something that I haven't seen in a while.

I do notice that the plastic packaging is really hard and suddenly just got reminded of my zero waste campus life and felt bad for throwing away the secondary packaging. Haha.

There's also a lot of information at the back of the packaging, some written in Korean, some written in English. The list of ingredients can't be found, though.

The actual product is really cute. It comes in a matte tube and see-through packaging, making the actual product color speak for itself.

The applicator is a doe foot applicator, which is suitable for this creamy type of lip product. Another thing to notice is the rubber stopper. I really like the rubber stopper of this product.

It may be hard to take out the applicator as the rubber stopper is really tight, but it makes product distributed more evenly.

Since the applicator is flat, the rubber stopper makes sure that the product is only distributed at the centre of the doe foot applicator, with none on the sides. I found this really convenient, as we don't need to wipe off excess product on the rim of the tube.

And one more thing - this product smells like chocolate!

Here is the swatch of the product. I find this product to be really buildable. The swatch on my hand is only a few swipes.

The product itself glides on really smoothly, and 'blurs' out prettily, without any patchy-ness. The color itself is a dark warm brown orange color, that is really pretty. It builds up to a dark red orange color as we apply more layers.

For the lasting power, unfortunately it doesn't last that long. This is like a lip cream that blurs out the fine lines on my lips. It doesn't really stain the lips and you would have to reapply after eating. It does feel thick and like you're wearing something on the lips.

Here is the swatch on my lips. The left picture is my original lip color, which is purple and pale. I put on some concealer on the outlines of my lips.

The middle picture is with minimum layers, just enough to cover the uneven color of my lips. Applied thinly, it gives a fresh red orange color on the lips.

Applied thickly, it gives a dark red orange color that pops out my complexion.

Okay, so here are the cons and pros of the product

Pros

• pretty colour!
• really pigmented
• good for gradient lips and mixed with other colours
• yummy chocolate scent (some people may dislike)
• cute but straightforward packaging
• great rubber stopper and applicator

Cons

• doesn't really last that long (can just reapply though)

Overall: 4/5. 

Will I repurchase? Yes! I can overlook the fact that this product doesn't last that long on the lips. I really like this product and am looking forward to try out more colours from this line.

Review: Etude House Dear Darling Water Gel Tint #RD305 Jujube Red

Hi guys! Today I have a lip tint review for you guys.

This is a lip tint that I have been wearing for quite a long time. It's actually my second bottle. I also have the comparison of the old and new version.

Here is the comparison between the two.

I believe they changed the packaging because the old version had some leakage issues. It's true, though. Mine has some of the product leaking out.

The new version is less prettier, but much sturdier. So far, there has been no leakage issues for the newer one. The newer one also has a taller bottle.
However, I have a problem with the newer version. I like the applicator on the old version more, because it distributes less product. I don't know if it's because there's less product in the bottle, or because of the rubber stopper. I'm guessing it's because of the rubber stopper that doesn't take out the product evenly.

If you guys don't know what rubber stopper is, in every liquid type of packagings like liquid lip products, mascara, etc, there's something between the mouth of the product and the liquid container that is V-shaped. This stopper makes sure the right amount of product is dispensed.
I always feel the rubber stopper doing its job on the old version, but not as much with the new version, so that's why I think it's a problem of the rubber stopper.

Thank God that the colours of the old and new version are still the same. The new version is a little bit thinner and more liquidy.

Here is the swatch of the product on my lips.

I really, really love this color. It looks deep maroon in the redder side. The consistency is a little bit milky. When applied with one thin swipe, it colors my lips naturally. This colour is the best colour of lip tint that I've come across so far, for my skin tone and lip color. Since my lips are on the darker side, I tend to look for lip tints with darker colour. I like that I can adjust the boldness of the lip tint.
For daily use, I usually apply one thin swipe, but for going out, I usually apply a little bit thicker for bolder look.

Although I like the applicator better on the old version, I like the formula of the new version better. It dries quicker unlike the old version, and less oily on the lips, which is of course more comfortable to be applied. I would say that the lasting power is a bit longer too, but not by much. Like every lipstick that I've tried before, it always disappear when I eat. There would be remains of the lip tint at the end of the day, just not as visible to the eyes.
I bought this lip tint for only about IDR 40.000, which is really cheap for the colour and formula that we're getting.

So, here are the pros and cons of this product (based on the new version)

Pros

• LOVE the colour
• good lasting power
• comfortable on the lips
• better packaging

Cons

• too much product on the applicator

Will I repurchase? Of course! This is my second bottle, and I would gladly buy another one after this one runs out.

Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips-Talk Chiffon in BE110

A girl can never have enough lipstick.

Hi guys! Today, I have a lipstick review from a well-known Korean brand Etude House. It is from their chiffon lisptick line, which is popular in Korea because of its in-between finish, which is right in the middle of matte and glossy. It retails for about KRW 9,000 and I bought it for IDR 95,000 from an online store.

This was the product that Lily Maymac endorsed for when she was in Korea. I really liked the shade that she was wearing, but I settled for the darker one because I was afraid that the shade wouldn't suit me, but now that I have bought the darker one, I would like to try out the shade that Lily Maymac was wearing as well!

Here is how the packaging looks like.

I got mine in the shade BE110 "Waiting Chiffon Beige", which is quite a weird name for a lipstick, but I think it has something to do with the rhymes of Korean letters which sound like 'shipeun' and the word 'chiffon'.

I've read in many reviews that on the cap of the lipstick, they actually attached real mirror to help us with application on the go. And honestly, I could care less about the mirror thing. I think it's too small to see through that small mirror, and I think that if they were going to attach a mirror to help us on the go, they might have as well put a nice size, like how the Kailijumei lipstick did.

Other than the small mirror, I don't have any other complaint about the packaging. It has cute lego-like appearance, and pink plastic packaging like how Etude House usually does their packaging, but this time the princess-y theme is much more settled, which may be a pro for girls who don't like cute packaging. I really like this type of packaging though.

Although the caps are made of plastic, it is still sturdy, it has click sounds when opening and closing the cap, which ensures that the cap won't fall off out of nowhere in your bag.

Swatches

First thought of the colour, it looks really pretty! It looks like a pinkish dusty rose. It is the colour that I would go for on a daily basis, because it looks natural and it doesn't look like I'm using anything when applied a little. My lips just doesn't look pale and I'm good with that.

Here are the swatches of the product on my lips. I think this shade really suits my skin tone so well! I really love this type of colour. I feel like the sharp edge of the lipstick makes it really easy to reach the cupid's bow.

As for the longevity, because it is a semi-matte lipstick, I find it lasting long enough for a lipstick. Without drinking or eating, it could last for about 2-3 hours without reapplying. But if you constantly drink with this lipstick on, it can fade on the inner part of the lips in about an hour.

It still transfers like a lipstick does, but not as easily as glossy lipstick does. I could solve it by reapplying and I don't mind at all.

It can dry out your lips if you don't prep before. Since this is a semi-matte lipstick, that is expected to come because of the finish. But it doesn't dry out the lips like a liquid-to-matte lipstick does.

So, here are the pros and cons of the product.

Pros

• cute and sturdy packaging
• affordable price for such a high quality lipstick! (KRW 9,000)
• really beautiful shade! (BE110)
• semi-matte finish (which is something I prefer over the glossy lipsticks)
• long-lasting

Cons

• can dry out the lips because of the semi-matte finish
• I find the mirror size quite impractical (although you can make it work)

Rate : 4.5/5

Will I repurchase? Of course! I would like to try the other colours as well!

Overall, I really like this lipstick for its colour and finish, and I would like to try other colours as well!

Review: Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder in Precious Petals

Hi guys! I'm really happy to be able to write and post again. I was busy with making a lightbox for better quality pictures, and I hope I can deliver that.

Today's review is about this highly talked highlighter from the drugstore. It is supposed to be a limited edition spring collection, but they just restocked and I guess it's because of the high demand.

The product name is Wet N Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder.

This is how the product looks like. The packaging is really simple and quite sturdy. It retails for $3.99 on the official website.

The ingredients are listed both on the website and on the back of the packaging, which is nice. The product is sealed with a sticker on the bottom, which said the net weight of the product, which is 0.19 OZ / 5.4 grams.

The product has a really nice floral pattern, which is really pretty. The product itself shines upon reflecting it with light. I was so excited when it came and I could finally get my hands on it, since everybody in youtube was raving about this.

Touching it with my fingers feel so smooth and buttery. This highlighter is adequately pigmented, not too pigmented for a highlighter but still really wet and metallic looking.

I really really like the texture and couldn't get enough just by touching the product. It feels really nice.

It does have some fallouts when brushing the product, but I don't have any problem with cleaning it away.

Here is the swatch on the back of my hand. The right one is not blended away and the left one is blended. Both look really pretty and illuminating.

The colour itself is a champagne gold with a hint of peachiness to it. It is quite glittery and leaves glitter on the skin after cleaning it away. I had to wash my face or my hand to get the glitters off.

And this is the swatch on the face. It looks stunning! I actually have another highlighter that has the same shade from elf, which is the Baked Highlighter in Blush Gems. I didn't really like the pigmentation on that one and to get really good pigmentation, we have to spray it with water, but this one applies really well with brushes, and you don't have to use it wet!

It lasted really well on my skin and didn't look as if my skin is oily. With the price tag of only $3.99, it really is a good deal. I am really happy to have made this purchase and being able to get my hands on them!

So, here are the pros and cons of this product :

• really affordable ($3.99 for this good of a product)
• beautiful sheen
• excellent pigmentation

• the texture is really smooth and buttery

I really like this product and I see myself reaching for this more than my ELF baked highlighter.

Will I repurchase?

Of course! However, I don't think I'll ever run out of this as little goes a long way, and it's a limited edition highlighter.

I really recommend you guys to get it while it lasts, before they run out of stock.

This product retails for $6 on the e.l.f. website.

They list the directions and the ingredients on the back of the box packaging. Here is what the official website says about this product :

First of fall, this packaging is actually really nice and sturdy. It has a full size mirror, which is really nice. It comes with 4 complete shades to highlight, set the undereye, bronzer and contour. You can even pop out the individual pans and mix and match it with other shades in the collection.

Swatches

These are the swatches of the shades.The texture of the shades are really soft and powdery.

I really like the pigmentation of the darker shades in the quad, although I don't find the lighter shades is pigmented enough for me. Because of the decent pigmentation, you can always build it up and not have to apply it with a light hand and not have to worry about the overpigmentation.

The darker shades blend really nice, but it is quite powdery and can leave some fallout. The banana-like shade is not that pigmented, but the lightest white shade looks really natural on the top of my cheeks.

From the top :

• The darkest colour is a little bit cool-tone shade for contouring. It is really nicely pigmented and easy to blend.
• The second darkest colour has warmer undertone and it looks really pretty. However, I have to build up this shade more to show up on my cheeks and I don't find that effective.
• The banana shade is for setting the undereye. This has the softest texture and I really like that it doesn't cake up my face (I have really oily skin). I just don't find this shade that pigmented.
• The lightest shade is for highlighting. This shade has little specs of white glitter and the pigmentation is quite decent. Because it isn't very pigmented, it gives a really natural highlight.

Here are the swatches on my cheeks. I'm not a pro when it comes to contouring and I'm sorry for that. It looks a little blotchy because I kept putting on the bronzer, which I find doesn't show up that well on my cheeks.

The longevity of this product is decent. I don't really like the lighter shades, but I do like the contour shades. I found myself going back to my MAKEOVER contour product (review coming soon).

So, here are the pros and cons of this product

Pros

• has a really nice packaging
• has a full-size mirror
• travel-friendly
• pigmentation is nice and you don't have to apply with a really light hand
• easy to blend
• beginner-friendly
• affordable ($6 USD on the website)

Cons

• the lighter shades are not that pigmented
• the more you build it up, the more blotchy and powdery it gets
• it is quite powdery and can leave some fallout

Rate: 7/10

I actually really like it for the price, considering that it comes in 4 shades, but I find myself just reaching out for the darkest shade.

Will I repurchase? I don't think so.

I would like to try other contour palettes and this product in particular didn't impress me that much. But, this will be a very good palette for beginners and for its affordable price.

Review : Sleek iDivine Eyeshadow Palette in Sunset

Hi again guys! Today I have an exciting review for you guys. The product that I'm going to be reviewing today is by Sleek Eyeshadow in Sunset.

I was debating to get either this version or in Storm. But this palette is very hard to find, and I think it will get even harder in the future to find, so I got this one first, and it didn't disappoint me at all.

The box packaging is really nice and quite catchy. It has the name of the palette. It comes with 12 different shadows.

Ingredients :

Mica, Talc, Paraffinum liquidum, Magnesium Stearate, Ethyexyl Palmitate, Dimethicane, Propylparaben, Methylparaben

Here is how the palette looks like. It replicates its name 'Sleek' because it does look sleek. I had to irradiate the palette to get a look on the 'Sleek makeup' writing.

Product

And, moment of truth, this is how the eyeshadows look like. I was so amazed with the colours and they look so beautiful. FYI, they are all shimmery or metallic eyeshadows, with only one matte black shadow at the top left corner.

The eyeshadow palette comes with a sponge applicator and a plastic separator. I didn't take a picture with the plastic separator because it was just a plain sheet of plastic without any names of the shadow, so I don't think the eyeshadows have names.

Duh, I don't have to describe the colours with flash. They all look so beautiful.

Swatches

These are the eyeshadow swatches on my arm. I will describe each colour and I hope I can describe them in detail.

The eyeshadows will be described from left to right.

Sunset #1 : This colour is a matte black shade. It is really pigmented and I love how they put a plain black shade because the rest of the colours are not matte at all.

Sunset #2 : This is a metallic pinkish coral shade. It is a really beautiful shade.

Sunset #3 : This is a metallic pinkish coral shade too. It is quite similar to shade number 2, although it is lighter and oranger in flash and in person.

Sunset #4 : This is a shimmery straight-on orange colour. It looks really beautiful too, although I don't think it is a daily wearable shade.

Sunset #5 : This is a shimmery yellow champagne colour. And again, it looks really beautiful.

Sunset #6 : This colour is a shimmery bright blue shade. Some may find it a nuisance because it doesn't fit with the other colours, but for me, I still think that it is a beautiful shade that I will somehow find a way to work it out with. One downside though, I think this eyeshadow is the least pigmented shade.

Sunset #7 : This colour is one of my favourite colours in this palette. It is a metallic purple shade that will compliment the coral and pink shades.

Sunset #8 : This colour is a metallic pink shade. It looks very similar to shade number 3. The difference is that this colour look more pinkish than the other one.

Sunset #9 : This colour is a metallic copper brown shade.

Sunset #10 : This colour is a shimmery toned down gold shade. This colour is the most shimmery shade of all the shades.

Sunset #11 : This colour is a shimmery rose gold shade that is very beautiful.

Sunset #12 : This last colour is also a bright shimmery shade that is similar to shade number 11. The difference is that this colour looks more pinkish.

The pigmentation of all these eyeshadows are really great. The texture is really creamy and buttery. It has almost no fallouts. So far I'm really impressed with this palette.

So, here are the pros and cons of the palette.

Pros

• very pigmented (no eyeshadow primer needed)
• cheap price (I got it for IDR 180.000)
• buttery and creamy texture
• almost no fallout
• the shades are very pretty
• last a long time

Cons

• some of the shades look really similar to each other

Rate : 5/5

It is by far the best eyeshadow palette for the price. I really love this palette!

Will I repurchase? Of course! I would like to try other versions of this i-Divine line.

Review & Swatches : Etude House Play Color Eyes in So Hot Play

Hi guys! Today I have an eyeshadow review and swatches for you guys. It is from the Etude House Play Color Eyes collection in So Hot Play. This is the visual look of the packaging.

I like the packaging of this product. It is simple yet cute, travel-friendly and compact. However, there is one minus for the packaging : it won't close securely. I have had this problem ever since I got this palette, and this requires me to keep the box packaging in case it might open by itself during travelling.

When you open the palette, there is a plastic separator that has the shades names and a full size mirror. The mirror is extremely useful, especially when you are travelling.
There are also 2 sponge applicators that are actually quite useful too.

This is how the shadows look like when you remove the plastic separator. As you can see, there are a few shades that looks like I have actually used them and there are some that looks untouched.

Swatches

Here are the swatches of the eyeshadows. I will describe the eyeshadows one by one from left to right.

Party Gold - it is a shimmery champagne gold eyeshadow that has a lot of glitters in it. This eyeshadow is quite chalky and has a lot of fallout.

Burning Red - this is a true red matte eyeshadow that is really pretty. Unfortunately, I don't find this wearable and color-friendly during the day. It is quite pigmented.

Temptation - it is a matte burgundy eyeshadow that is also really pretty. To me, it gives off a vampire-y feel whenever I apply this. It is quite pigmented.

Naked - as it is called, this shade looks 'naked', although it does neutralize my eyes for the next colors. However, it looks like I just applied compact powder to my face.

Pony Tail - it is a metallic brown shade that is-I think-the most beautiful shade in the palette, because I can literally wear this alone and it still looks natural. It isn't that metallic and wearable. It is currently the most used eyeshadow in this palette.

Modern City - it is a metallic dark grey shade that is really pigmented. It goes on smooth. This eyeshadow and the next two are very suitable for smoky eyes.

Chic Blue - it is a metallic dark blue shade that is really pretty and quite pigmented too. Suitable for smoky eyes.

All Night - it is a black glittery shade. I don't this shade is very pigmented and I'm not really happy with the pigmentation in this shade.

Snow Queen - it is a really glittery white shade. I find this shade the most chalky and difficult to work with. It has a lot of fall out and it doesn't look good on my eyes either.

Military Khaki - this shade is quite similar to Pony Tail, only it is greener than the other one. It is quite a good shade, but not that pigmented.

I will immediately conclude my review in pros and cons.

Pros

• compact and travel-friendly
• some of the shades are pigmented and pretty
• comes with two sponge applicators

Cons

• quite expensive (IDR 219.000) compared to another eyeshadow that I got the other day
• colors are not that pigmented, and some colors are just very not pigmented
• glittery shades have a lot of fall outs

Rate : 2/5

I didn't enjoy this palette very much and I rarely reach out for this palette. Plus, I'm very sure that Etude House discontinued this palette because it is a limited edition palette.

Will I repurchase? No. I am sure I can find better quality palettes for that price. Review coming soon!
