Review: Peripera Peri's Ink Velvet no 6 Celeb Deep Rose

Hi guys! Today I have a lip tint review from Peripera. Peripera has always been famous for their lip tints. They first launched the Peri's Ink lip tint, which is famous for its crazy lasting power.
So this time, they release the velvet version, with more MLBB (My Lips But Better) colours. I personally really like these types of colours. I picked one up for about IDR 95,000 and the original price is KRW 9,000.

Here are the colour selection of the velvet line.

Here is what the packaging looks like. It came with cute hard paper packaging. I believe every shade has their own shade on the package itself and I find it really cute.

Unfortunately, there are only a few English lines and it may bother people who don't read or understand Korean. For me, I am only able to read Korean characters, but often times I don't understand the meaning of the words.

I also really like the of the packaging. The packaging looks like an ink tube, with a dropper-like cap, although I can't squeeze the dropper thing.
The packaging itself is sturdy, with the twist cap and non-leaking tube, I can always throw it in my purse without worrying about it spilling everywhere.

Swatches

This is how the shade looks like. It is a pretty rosy pink. I personally don't have a colour in this particular stage, and it is surely an MLBB shade for my skin tone.

This is the swatch on my lips. I was looking for a pink lip tint, because I tend to have orange tones lip tints and lipsticks. I am usually thrown off by bright neon lip colours that Koreans like to use on their lips. I think this pink shade is a good start for me.

As for the formula, it isn't liquidy at all like how lip tints usually feel. I would say it seems more like liquid lipsticks than lip tints.

The lasting power is still really great, although I don't own the Peri's Ink original version. It feels like lipstick and transfers a bit, but not crazily like a regular lip stick does. It lasted me really long and it is still there until I removed it. After a few hours, it doesn't feel like anything but it still doesn't dry out the lips.

So, here are the pros and cons of the product.

Pros
  • cute but sturdy packaging
  • pretty colour
  • great lasting power
Cons
  • anyone who doesn't like the stickiness of a lipstick may not like it as much
Rate: 5/5
I personally really like this product, despite the misinterpretation of the lipstick-like lip tint. But, I overlooked that because the overall product is really nice.

Will I repurchase?
Maybe. I would like to try some other colours as well but I don't think I will do that in a near time.

Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips-Talk Chiffon in BE110

A girl can never have enough lipstick.

Hi guys! Today, I have a lipstick review from a well-known Korean brand Etude House. It is from their chiffon lisptick line, which is popular in Korea because of its in-between finish, which is right in the middle of matte and glossy. It retails for about KRW 9,000 and I bought it for IDR 95,000 from an online store.

This was the product that Lily Maymac endorsed for when she was in Korea. I really liked the shade that she was wearing, but I settled for the darker one because I was afraid that the shade wouldn't suit me, but now that I have bought the darker one, I would like to try out the shade that Lily Maymac was wearing as well!

Here is how the packaging looks like.

I got mine in the shade BE110 "Waiting Chiffon Beige", which is quite a weird name for a lipstick, but I think it has something to do with the rhymes of Korean letters which sound like 'shipeun' and the word 'chiffon'.

I've read in many reviews that on the cap of the lipstick, they actually attached real mirror to help us with application on the go. And honestly, I could care less about the mirror thing. I think it's too small to see through that small mirror, and I think that if they were going to attach a mirror to help us on the go, they might have as well put a nice size, like how the Kailijumei lipstick did.

Other than the small mirror, I don't have any other complaint about the packaging. It has cute lego-like appearance, and pink plastic packaging like how Etude House usually does their packaging, but this time the princess-y theme is much more settled, which may be a pro for girls who don't like cute packaging. I really like this type of packaging though.

Although the caps are made of plastic, it is still sturdy, it has click sounds when opening and closing the cap, which ensures that the cap won't fall off out of nowhere in your bag.

Swatches

First thought of the colour, it looks really pretty! It looks like a pinkish dusty rose. It is the colour that I would go for on a daily basis, because it looks natural and it doesn't look like I'm using anything when applied a little. My lips just doesn't look pale and I'm good with that.

Here are the swatches of the product on my lips. I think this shade really suits my skin tone so well! I really love this type of colour. I feel like the sharp edge of the lipstick makes it really easy to reach the cupid's bow.

As for the longevity, because it is a semi-matte lipstick, I find it lasting long enough for a lipstick. Without drinking or eating, it could last for about 2-3 hours without reapplying. But if you constantly drink with this lipstick on, it can fade on the inner part of the lips in about an hour.
It still transfers like a lipstick does, but not as easily as glossy lipstick does. I could solve it by reapplying and I don't mind at all.
It can dry out your lips if you don't prep before. Since this is a semi-matte lipstick, that is expected to come because of the finish. But it doesn't dry out the lips like a liquid-to-matte lipstick does.

So, here are the pros and cons of the product.

Pros
  • cute and sturdy packaging
  • affordable price for such a high quality lipstick! (KRW 9,000)
  • really beautiful shade! (BE110)
  • semi-matte finish (which is something I prefer over the glossy lipsticks)
  • long-lasting
Cons
  • can dry out the lips because of the semi-matte finish
  • I find the mirror size quite impractical (although you can make it work)

Rate : 4.5/5
Will I repurchase? Of course! I would like to try the other colours as well!

Overall, I really like this lipstick for its colour and finish, and I would like to try other colours as well!

Have you guys tried it out? Feel free to share your thoughts about this product with me on the comment section down bellow!

Korean Skincare Samples Tryout: Innisfree Green Tea Seed Cream, The Face Shop Chia Seed No Shine Hydrating Cream, Etude House Moistfull Essence, Cream

Hi guys! Today's post will be about an essence that I've been using for months now. It is Moistfull Collagen Essence from Etude House.

But, before I go to the actual review, I would like to explain my 'journey' before choosing this essence as my daily moisturizer. I don't really know how the Korean skin care system works, so I just go on with what I feel right.

From the beginning, I had always thought that moisturizers were only for those with normal or dry skin. My face has always been on the oily side, and acne prone. I have been on various dermatologists to cure my acne prone skin, but none of them really worked out well.
I found out that people with oily skin still needed to apply moisturizers, to trick the skin into thinking that they had enough sebum, so then they would stop producing more sebum.

One learning experience, on one morning, I woke up with the oiliest face I could have ever felt, so I washed my face. I forgot to apply moisturizer, so after about 10 minutes, my face became oily again, but my cheeks were flaking off from dry, dead skin cells! I was really shocked, so I went to wash my face twice, and immediately applied my mom's thick moisturizer after that. Then, my skin started feeling better.
Moral of the story: always apply your moisturizer, even though you have an oily type face!

I got some skin care samples from an online store, I just got myself what is available at that moment.

DISCLAIMER : I only tried out the sample size of these products for a few days, so my opinion may not be solid true, but these are my thoughts and opinions after few days application. I have an OILY, ACNE PRONE skin.

Here are what I got to try on myself.

I had the highest expectations with the Innisfree Green Tea Seed serum. So I tried it first.

Innisfree Green Tea Seed Line

I only try out the Green Tea Seed Cream. Here is what the product looks like.

I was quite thrown off by the cream because it feels quite thick. The smell was kinda strong too. I tried it on anyway, but it wasn't what I was expecting.

Because of the thick consistency, I found my face becoming oily quite quickly. I really like it when moisturizers give cooling sensation upon application, but it didn't give out any cooling sensation, or even feel fresh. My face was quite sticky after application, but it still feels moist.

Rate : 3/5
Overall, I didn't really like this one because of the smell and thickness.

The Face Shop Chia Seed No Shine Hydrating Cream

I took a few days off, so that my face can 'neutralize' itself from the cream. After a few days, I tried on the other cream, which is from The Face Shop Chia Seed line. I really hoped this one would work, after my luck with the green tea seed cream didn't turn out well.

This one has a clear colour and was quite thick, but not as thick as the Innisfree Green Tea Seed Cream. It gives a cooling sensation upon application.
The funny thing is, it really reminded me of a cream that I used to use from a dermatologist, which didn't work out well for me. I always remembered that when applying this cream.

I kept using this until the very last bit of product, mostly because of the cooling sensation it gave me on every application. But I had to stop myself from buying the full size product, because I felt like this product broke me out on my cheeks.

I really liked this one too, but it was quite pricy, about IDR 250.000-350.000 on online shops. The full size is in a glass jar, and comes with a spatula, I believe.

Rate : 4/5
Overall, I really liked this one, but because it broke me out after I finished the product, I closed my mind on buying the full size product.

Etude House Moistfull Collagen line

After a few days of taking a break for my skin as well, I tried out the last sample and really hoped that one of them really worked. One of them had to!

This product has the largest size, and has 3 variations of products to try out from the line. I only tried the cream and essence. I gave all the eye creams to my mom.

First, I tried out the Etude House Moistfull Collagen Cream.

I'm really sorry that I don't have the photo of the product, I think I accidentally deleted it because I procrastinated this post for quite a long time. But, oh well.

I liked the product, but it didn't give cooling sensation on the face. Or at least, my face didn't feel fresh after application. But the product itself was pretty good, and it didn't break me out at all.

Rate : 4.5/5
Overall, I really like the product, but it didn't give fresh finish that I've been looking for my oily skin.

After a few days, the sample ran out and I tried out the Etude House Moistfull Collagen Essence.

Upon application, I knew that this was the right moisturizer for me. It gave off cooling sensation and my face felt really fresh after application. After it got absorbed into the skin, my face didn't feel oily at all.

I compared the essence and the cream on COSDNA and I found out that the essence has more safe ingredients than the cream, so it gave me more reasons to choose the essence instead of the cream.

Rate: 5/5
I really like this one and I chose this essence as my daily moisturizer. Full review on this link.

Review: Etude House Moistfull Collagen

Hi guys! Today's post will be about an essence that I've been using for months now. It is Moistfull Collagen Essence from Etude House. I bought it for IDR 180.000.

Here is what the packaging looks like.

The packaging is informative with the descriptions, instructions, ingredients, shell life, and etc.
I always research about ingredients of products that I use, especially when it comes to skincare, and I found that this product contains almost ingredients that are safe and good for the skin. Moreover, I like that it doesn't contain paraben, although it does contain fragrance, but since it is on the very last of the ingredients list, I assume that this product contains a tiny tiny bit of fragrance.
I usually research about the ingredients on cosdna. They have one of the most informative and complete ingredients list I could ever find.

I have no complaints regarding the packaging. Etude House is known for their cute packagings, but for this product, I think it leans more to its practicality.
I always like pumps on products like this, because it reserves the hygiene, effectiveness. The packaging is sturdy and doesn't feel heavy, but at the same time it doesn't feel cheap at all.

The essence itself is colourless and it is quite runny, but it is expected because I think essence is supposed to feel watery and runny, but saturated.

I have been wearing this for about 5 months, twice per day, one pump for each application, and this product still hasn't run out. I use this every time after I wash my face, then I'm good to go. I just use this as my daily moisturizer.

I love how this essence cools and soothes the skin. My way of applying this is, after patting my face dry, I take one full pump of the product, rub it between the palms of my hands, and pat it all over my face. At first, my face will feel quite wet from the essence, but in about one minute, the essence will absorb into my skin, leaving my skin feeling moist, but not oily at all.
This essence never makes my skin feel oily at all and it never breaks me out. Those are two things I really love about this product. My skin also doesn't get oily as fast as when I don't wear this. However, it doesn't reduce my oil, it just lengthen the time when I don't feel oily. And honestly, I am completely fine with that, because I can touch up with my no sebum mineral powder from Innisfree.

So, here are the pros and cons of the product.

Pros
  • great packaging
  • reasonable price
  • doesn't make my face as oily as usual
  • doesn't break me out
  • nice ingredients
  • a little goes a long way
  • moisturizes the skin well without leaving it feeling oily or sticky
Cons
  • I actually can't think of one
Rate: 5/5
Will I repurchase? Of course! Mainly because it doesn't break me out.

Overall, I really really like this product and I will continue to use this as long as it doesn't break me out.
